Scrapbooking photos is a hobby that some people just don't understand.  Yes, it can take a lot of time to assemble a page.  Yes, it may seem tedious to some.  But I see it as preserving memories for my family and friends to enjoy years from now -- the good times, bad times, wonderful moments, messy moments, highs, lows -- outside of the usual photo album collection.

Every artist has their own style, and mine tends to vary depending on the subject, theme, color-scheme, mood, etc. Sometimes I like to stay with a simple design if the focus is on the photo, and there are other times where I've used about 15 different embellishments on the page. Each layout has it's own personality. There's no reason to stay within any sort of box ... especially when you let your imagination flow!

Many people think that you have to be a graphic designing whiz, or a genius in art to be able to create wonderful scrapbook pages. Let me be the first to tell you, that's not true!! Not everyone starts off with a masterpiece, no matter what craft or hobby it is. And as long as the layout (or whatever you create) is meaningful to you, then it doesn't matter what others think of the outcome. As with all things in life, practice makes perfect and since I know I'm still far from perfect, practicing is fun!

Some people ask me how many albums I have completed and honestly, I couldn't give you a firm number!  I have so done so many layouts (both traditional and digital) and have various albums going on at the same time (i.e. for each of my nephews, our trips, holidays, a generic family album, etc.) that there's now way I can keep count.  The layouts below are just some of my favorites.  You can view some of my other layouts, cards, and projects on the ScrapSupply gallery too.

If you're a scrapbooker or paper crafter - I hope these layouts can give you some new ideas.  If you're a beginner - I hope these will inspire you to start preserving your own memories!  Enjoy!
